Has the NRSC abandoned Corker?

According to a new DSCC press release, the National Republican Senatorial Committee will stop running ads for Bob Corker on October 19th. Here's the full text:

After Weeks Of Trying To Resuscitate Corker's Sagging Campaign, The National Republican Senatorial Committee Will Stop Running TV Ads This Week

After weeks of trying to resuscitate the sagging Corker campaign, the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) will stop running TV ads for Bob Corker on October 19. Contrary to a Corker campaign release from earlier today, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) will be up with ads on behalf of Harold Ford Jr. through Election Day, and has more advertising time reserved in Tennessee than the national GOP does.

"The Corker campaign is doing a great job to ensure that Bob Corker's credibility problems remain at the forefront of the Tennessee Senate race," DSCC spokesman Phil Singer said. "Instead of putting out misleading press releases, the Corker campaign should focus on making sure that their candidate does a better job of addressing his character problems."

These are the facts:

As of 10/19, the NRSC has no advertising time reserved on behalf of Bob Corker for the remainder of the election.

From now until Election Day, the DSCC has reserved more advertising time on behalf of Harold Ford Jr than the National Republicans have reserved on behalf of Bob Corker.

The NRSC presser mentioned above was sent earlier in the day claiming the DSCC isn't helping Harold Ford Jr. Here's a little from that one:

In more bad news for the Ford campaign today, an item in National Journal’s Hotline reports that the combined Democratic ad spending was even or greater than combined GOP spending in every major Senate race except one – Tennessee.

I'm glad the DSCC rebutted, and they used actual facts. Anyone in the TV business knows you can reserve ad time on pretty short notice, but the 19th is mere days away. Have the Republicans really lost faith in Corker?

UPDATE: Bill Hobbs discredits the DSCC release. His "sources" tell him its a scare tactic... yeah right...

UPDATE: Naturally, Blogging for Crocker...err...Corker has also attempted the disprove the DSCC presser. Honestly, only time will tell.
